The theme of the conference is “Jesus, The Master Teacher.”

This conference will focus on the qualities of Jesus and his teaching methods that make him our Master Teacher. We will also engage in practical matters of how to build and strengthen effective teaching ministries in the local church.

Each presentation will last 35 minutes with 15 minutes of question and response.

Call for Papers

If you are interested in presenting at the conference, we invite you to submit an abstract of your paper/presentation. The abstract must be no more than 400 words and should succinctly explain your proposed topic.

A committee of ICOC Teachers in North America will look through the abstract submissions and notify selected presentations.

Some Potential Topics (feel free to submit other ideas)

  • Why is Jesus the Master Teacher?
  • Highlight one of Jesus’ methods of teaching
  • How was his teaching full of grace and truth?
  • What does it mean to be a teacher according to Jesus?
  • Unity-building through teaching
  • Building local teaching ministries

These presentations should also include practical examples for teachers to imitate the Master Teacher.

Important Note

We will also have an evening at the conference for Local Teaching Ministry presentations. These will be 10-15 minute presentations that highlight the teaching ministry in your local church.

Please submit a separate 400-word paper highlighting how your local ministry is incorporating its teaching ministry into the overall vision of your church.

  • How did this ministry get built?
  • What are the various types of teaching taking place and in what settings?
  • How did the leadership work together to build this ministry?
  • What were the challenges to building your teaching ministry?
  • How has the teaching ministry strengthened the members and equipped them to better serve the Lord?

Entile this paper, “Local Teaching Ministry”. You may submit an abstract for one or both of the above categories.
