As the 2010s draw to a close, the Austin Church is celebrating all that God has done this decade. The church began the decade on the heels of a prolonged period of little growth. After a time of prayer and dreaming, the staff and leadership came up with an audacious plan that included tripling the leadership team, membership and impact in the city. The church has seen God in many amazing ways this decade. The church has more than doubled in size from the 186 members at the beginning of the decade to nearly 400 members at the end of the decade. With a focus on community churches, the Tribe was launched in downtown Austin in 2013. That group has doubled in size and a new Eastside community church is being launched in January of 2020, tripling the number of ministry communities in the city. In the next decade, plans are being laid to train leaders and launch four more community churches.
In the Spring of 2020, the Austin Church is looking to hire up to four young men and women (single or married) for ministry positions in our campus and youth ministries. We have a vision for planting several new community churches in the Austin area over the next decade. Therefore, candidates for the position should have a passion for youth and/or campus ministry with an eye toward training to lead a planting. Training will be provided by an experienced staff team of evangelists and shepherds with considerable international and domestic mission experience.
