I am here to thank you for your prayers and ask you to join us in praising God for the pleasantly surprising outcome of the negotiation! The parties have reached an \u201cAgreement for Lasting Peace through a Permanent Cessation of Hostilities\u201d on November 2nd, just a day before the second year mark of the conflict.<\/p>\n<p><center>\n  <img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" width=\"800\" height=\"450\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/disciplestoday.org\/clone\/clone\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/11\/ethiopia_prayer.jpg?resize=800%2C450&#038;ssl=1\" class=\"attachment-full size-full\" alt=\"\" decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" srcset=\"https:\/\/disciplestoday.org\/clone\/clone\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/11\/ethiopia_prayer.jpg 800w, https:\/\/disciplestoday.org\/clone\/clone\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/11\/ethiopia_prayer-300x169.jpg 300w, https:\/\/disciplestoday.org\/clone\/clone\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/11\/ethiopia_prayer-768x432.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px\">\n<\/center><\/p>\n  <p>\n    <span> This glimpse of hope has ignited so much joy and optimism in the country including in the Tigray region. But it also brings some level of nervousness due to the odds on the ground and the uncertainties in the future. So much loss and damage has been done to people\u2019s lives, the economy and the very fabric of the country. Unspeakable atrocities and devastation have been committed. The wounds are still open, pain runs deep, and emotions are extremely high. These pose a significant challenge to the peace process, in addition to serious concerns of possible sabotage in the implementation of the deal by disgruntled individuals or groups on both sides. That makes the peace deal very fragile and delicate. <\/span>\n  <\/p>\n  <p>\n    <span> Nevertheless, today&#8217;s comfort and tomorrow&#8217;s confidence are still only secure in the hands of the LORD Almighty.
