{"id":2619,"date":"2021-01-14T18:17:00","date_gmt":"2021-01-14T18:17:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/disciplestoday.org\/clone\/clone\/2021\/01\/14\/the-incredible-conversion-story-of-a-wonderful-couple-in-lagos\/"},"modified":"2023-06-02T07:02:23","modified_gmt":"2023-06-02T05:02:23","slug":"the-incredible-conversion-story-of-a-wonderful-couple-in-lagos","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/disciplestoday.org\/clone\/the-incredible-conversion-story-of-a-wonderful-couple-in-lagos\/","title":{"rendered":"Incredible Conversion Story of Lagos Couple"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>\n  <span> We praise God for persevering with us and rewarding our efforts with an early new year baptism of Ifeanyi and Ijeoma Onyegbule this January 2021. <\/span>\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  <span> This fired-up couple recently moved into our neighborhood in the Ogba-Agege region in Lagos after rejecting several offers of a new home. They never thought that God was positioning them for the salvation of their souls (Acts 17:25-27). <\/span>\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  <span> We never knew them nor reached out to them, but we had reached out to as many of our neighbors as possible and studied the Bible with many as well. Especially during the first wave of the lockdown, we seized the opportunity to study with as many as possible. When churches were on complete lockdown due to the pandemic, we invited others to our region\u2019s virtual church services in our home. <\/span>\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  <span> While many we&#8217;ve reached out to haven&#8217;t become disciples yet, they shared the good news with their neighbors and friends, unknown to us! Ijeoma and Ifeanyi Onyegbule are products of such evangelism, as people in the neighborhood shared with them about us. <\/span>\n<\/p>\n<img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"768\" height=\"868\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/disciplestoday.org\/clone\/clone\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/Ifeanyi_and_Ijeoma_Onyegbule.jpg?resize=768%2C868&#038;ssl=1\" class=\"attachment-full size-full\" alt=\"\" loading=\"lazy\" srcset=\"https:\/\/disciplestoday.org\/clone\/clone\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/Ifeanyi_and_Ijeoma_Onyegbule.jpg 768w, https:\/\/disciplestoday.org\/clone\/clone\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/Ifeanyi_and_Ijeoma_Onyegbule-265x300.jpg 265w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 768px) 100vw, 768px\">\n<p>\n  <br>\n  One Sunday evening Ijeoma and Ifeanyi came looking for us. We welcomed them with open arms and shared God\u2019s love. We invited them over the next day where we opened the Bible and did the discipleship study together. It was a spectacular experience. They believed that they were Christians, but when they came face to face with scriptures, they confessed they were not and decided to become disciples of Christ. <\/p>\n\n<p> Thereafter, they initiated more studies and made changes in their lives. What was so infectiously obvious to everyone in the neighborhood was their transformation. They freely reached out to their relatives and friends, telling them about the good news. <\/p>\n<p> Wasiu Ajao, the regional leader of the New Ogba\/Agege Region couldn\u2019t hold back his admiration of their personal convictions as he and his wife, Martina counted the cost of discipleship with them.
