Most people who lost their lives were the Christians who had gathered in churches for Easter service. Many foreigners lost their lives in the bomb attacks in the prominent hotels in the heart of Colombo city. Three churches were attacked. <\/p>\n\n
City is under curfew overnight. Security forces have detonated some more bombs. Church in Colombo was planning for a weekend retreat in a place called Kandy. This was to celebrate 25th anniversary of the church and a new church planting was supposed to take place this weekend to start the church in Kandy. The whole church was eagerly looking forward for this great event. Retreat is cancelled as police have requested the retreat centre not to hold any events for some time as these unfortunate events took place. We are still trying to conduct the retreat in another location if authorities permit. <\/p>\n
Our heart goes out to those who lost the loved ones.
