Don&#8217;t just read them. Write them out. Read out loud. As a bath is refreshing and calming&#8230;take a bath in the scriptures. Here are some of my favorites that provide refreshment to my soul: <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li> Deuteronomy 7:6 <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li> Joshua 1:9 <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li> Proverbs 3:3-8 <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li> Zephaniah 3:17 <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li> 1 Corinthians 10:13 <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li> Philippians 4:19 <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li> James 4:8 <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li> 1 Peter 5:7 <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li> 2 Peter 1:3-4 <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li> Hebrews 6:10 <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li> Matthew 11:28-30 <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li> Psalm 18:32,35; 37:4-5; 145:13-31 <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"> Make sure we are reading the Bible for our own nourishment, not just for others. In new seasons of life, we need to find rest for our souls. We don&#8217;t need any help on what to worry about; we can usually find plenty. <em> &#8220;The fruit of righteousness will be peace; the effect of righteousness will be quietness and confidence forever.&#8221; <\/em> &#8212; Isaiah 32:17 <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"> When we pray for others we are refreshed <\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"> Remember you are stronger together than you are apart. (Ecclesiastes 4:9-12) <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"> Studies show that friendship boosts our immune system, mental health, etc. Friendship refreshes. We help keep each other faithful (full of faith), we borrow faith, and we are inspired by others&#8217; faith. <em> &#8220;And Saul&#8217;s son Jonathan went to David at Horesh and helped him find strength in God.&#8221; <\/em> &#8212; 1 Samuel 23:16 <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"> A quote from Shania Twain reads, &#8220;A friend is someone who knows the song of your soul and sings it back to you (when you forget the words)&#8230;&#8221;Sometimes, I need someone to remind me. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"> We need laughter <\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"> I plan in my scheduled times to laugh and have fun. Laughter reduces stress, lowers blood pressure, helps tone abs, reduces pain, and helps you sleep better and look younger. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"> Music moves and focuses our hearts <\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"> Close your eyes and listen to Morgan Minsk sing &#8220;How Great Thou Art.&#8221; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"750\" height=\"442\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/vDRu6d_FvMs\" title=\"How Great You Are\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen=\"\"><\/iframe>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Let the scriptures refresh you Really refresh you.
