God continues to transform hearts and lives of many during these unique times in 2020. We have exciting news to share as spiritual and physical needs are being met throughout West Africa! The baptism of an entire family across several cities in Nigeria, the rebirth and reconciliation of a couple in Yenagoa , and a church being granted two acres of land by local authorities in Sierra Leone are just a few of the ways God is proving himself faithful.


When God’s time was ripe for his mercy to be shown to John Omolaja Airohi, his cousin Clara Bazuaye, a disciple of Jesus in the London Church of Christ, referred him to the church in Jos where he met some disciples. He started studying the Bible, and they explained to him the way of God more adequately (Acts 18:24-26). Without wasting time, John accepted the truth and was baptized into Jesus!

Understanding how privileged he was, he could not hold back, but must let as many as possible know about this new-found truth! During the Covid-19 pandemic, John decided to travel back home to his family in Benin City. What was paramount in his heart was how he would convince his wife and children to study the Bible and become disciples of Jesus. He committed this desire to God in prayer and met with the church leader to create time to study the Bible with his family. In the Yenagoa church, disciples were challenged to reach out to their family members during the lockdown. Stanley Damabide reached out to his family members, Lucky and Lucky Nwankwo, and invited them to church to witness the graduation of his daughter from the preteen ministry. After their first visit, both of them started studying the Bible. Throughout their studies, they were encouraged to get married and stop living as co-habitants. They responded to the gospel, repented, got baptized, and became one in marriage, all to the glory of God. Read more here…


The ICOC Kono Seed Fellowship in Sierra Leone was started by Mr. Titus Brima. Mr Brima transferred there few years back as Senior Teacher in a secondary school in the community. By meeting with the families and evangelism, God added to their number gradually to an extent that it drew the attention of the authorities. With grace, the disciples approached the Paramount Chief and his local authority for a piece of land for the church.
