The Kansas City Church of Christ seeks experienced and dynamic church builders to serve as the lead ministry couple. Working with other members of the leadership team, in a team environment, their role will include casting a compelling vision, training up the next generation of leaders, and inspiring spiritual growth through preaching and teaching.
We desire a couple who have prior ministry experience as church or sector leaders, demonstrating visionary and relational leadership, ministry-related organizational and communication skills, ability to build key relationships, experience with training and equipping future leaders, and demonstrating a commitment to personal and professional development.
The Kansas City Church, planted in 1985, has 280 members with encouraging diversity. Our congregation includes mature experienced disciples, singles, young marrieds, and families as well as campus, teens, preteens, and children’s ministries. In addition, we partner with several service organizations within the Kansas City area to expand our outreach, as we serve our community.
We are part of the Heartland Family of Churches and desire to continue to grow and strengthen the bonds of fellowship and partnership with our fellow churches as well as International Church of Christ churches worldwide.
Kansas City is well known as a great place to raise a family, with an affordable cost of living. The city is growing in all directions and significant revitalization is occurring in the city center. We enjoy our college and pro sports teams and our world-renowned BBQ. The metropolitan area includes several colleges and universities.
