This position is open to someone with or without previous experience.
The Knoxville Church is a small, but vibrant church (75 members) with a mature and diverse leadership team and a church family of loving disciples. We are looking for a female campus intern to work with our newly hired campus minister. We seek someone who has a heart for university students, a growing pursuit of God, and highly values serving the university community.
Over the years, many have become followers of Jesus on the campuses here, and have gone on to serve God in numerous other congregations in amazing ways. The University of Tennessee, home to Neyland Stadium, is the flagship campus and reaches nearly 30,000 undergraduates and more than 7,000 graduate students each year.
Criteria
We are looking for a sister who has some experience in campus ministry (even if only as a student). God’s opportunity here is flexible for the right person. The internship is paid (specifics to be discussed upon interview) and will include paid housing. However, all other expenses such as food, gasoline, and other necessities, will be the responsibility of the intern.
The right candidate need not have any prior formal internship experience. We are seeking a sister who wants to serve, learn, grow, and work with young adults on campus and who will work in tandem with our campus minister. The internship will also involve serving our youth and family ministry by mentoring teens and serving at monthly teen devotional events.
