The special needs ministry of the Lebanon Church of Christ, “Proud Souls,” cooperated with Rising Above Ministries in the United States to create a “By the Brook” Middle East Retreat for moms of children with special needs. After spending two days in nature connecting with God, themselves and each other, they left the retreat not as they arrived.
Being with other women who “just get it” filled their souls and rejuvenated them in ways they didn’t think was possible. That retreat was prepared by God to spoil his daughters and to bring them back to their homes relaxed because that is necessary for the well-being of the entire family.
