One week ago on Friday, March 30th, the congregational Worship Ministry of the NYC Church of Christ hosted a special worship concert fundraiser called “AMPLIFY.” The event, which was held at The Times Center in the heart of Manhattan’s Times Square / Theater District was sold out (352 Seats). We also had a livestream by donation option with disciples tuning in from as far as Georgia, Washington State, California, Texas, the Philippines and Singapore!
From start to finish our brothers and sisters – along with visitors – sang praises with all our hearts to proclaim on Good Friday that “God is Good.” We had a special presentation from one of the Board members of Chance For Africa, Dr. Patti O’Brien-Richardson, who announced that because of people’s generosity we raised $6,500 for the charity. This equates to 20 children being able to attend school for a year with tuition paid for!
On behalf of the NYC Church Worship Ministry we want to thank everyone who attended “AMPLIFY” in person and all of those across the country and the world who supported this memorable night of praise and worship! We plan to host another worship night on November 23rd, 2024 in NYC, so keep a lookout for more information on that!
