On Monday, June 1, over 500 church leaders of all races from all parts of the United States gathered in a Zoom meeting on a day’s notice to receive input on how to respond to the current racial crisis in the country and our churches. The event was initiated and hosted by the ICOC US Diversity Team which has been renamed the Social, Cultural, Unity, and Diversity Team (SCUAD). Please view the presentation above.

UNITY DEVOTIONAL
On Saturday, June 6, 2020 the SCUAD is presenting a Unity Devotional hosted by Michael Burns, teacher in our church in Minneapolis and author of numerous books, podcasts and workshops on Race and Culture in the church ( michaelburnsteachingministry.com). The Unity Devotional will premiere on the ICOC YouTube channel and on the Disciples Today Facebook page and ICOC Facebook group.
RESOURCES
Disciples Today has published numerous articles and videos over the years on diversity, race and culture. Please find more than 20 articles on our Commentary page. More resources are to come.
Please explore the Race & Culture Playlist on our YouTube Channel featuring messages from our various churches. So far, it is focused on dealing with the current crisis in the US, but the Biblical teachings can be applied around the world. We pray we can expand this in the future.
WORKSHOPS AND CONFERENCES
The SCUAD is planning future workshops and conferences to help us all reflect the prayer of Jesus that we may all be one.
Holy Father, protect them by the power of your name, the name you gave me, so that they may be one as we are one. – John 17:11
