Dear ICOC family, hope you all are doing wellin your respective churches, cities and countries.

As some of you may know, this past weekend inBolivia we had presidential elections and tensions rise due to allegedelectoral irregularities. There has being violence between Bolivian citizensand the police on the streets in many parts of the country including La Paz,Santa Cruz, Cochabamba and Tarija, where we have disciples. Thank God so far that no disciple we know is injured. We ask for your prayers that we canhave peace and justice as we face this socio-political crisis.

We as church in Bolivia are facing thissituation with prayer and learning what the Word of God instructs us on how to behaveas disciples of Christ. We want to strive to be “righteous” as James 5:16b says, “The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective.” We want to be known by our love and our acts of kindness and benevolence towardsall our neighbors, in spite of their political affiliation, background, socialstatus, color of skin or nationality. We don’t want to promote hate orviolence, so that our prayers may be heard by our Father as we strive to preservepeace and respect with all human beings.

We ask you to please join us in prayer forBolivia and many other countries in our region facing similar situations, such as Ecuador, Chile, Venezuela and Haiti. Thank you for your support, yourencouragement and prayers. We all are part of an amazing body of believers thatis interconnected through the blood of our Lord.

With much love and gratitude,

Bolivian ICOC Leadership – Christian Escobar (Santa Cruz) & David Pineda (La Paz)
