“And these words that I command you today shall be on your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your children …” – Deut.6:6-7; ESV.
Nadine are I are quite excited to see the next generation of kingdom kids surrendering their lives over to Christ. In recent months the St Catherine ministry saw three of our own children getting baptized, one of whom is our 13-year-old daughter, Nasya.
During the last six months of 2018, we prayed fervently for God to bring to faith a member of our community. In mid-Decemberas we evaluated our efforts, we discovered that more than a dozen neighbors had visited church with us, some repeatedly, but none participated in a Bible study. Though a little concerned, we kept praying, believing that God is still capable of working a miracle in a short space of time.
Throughout this time, Nasya was steadily gaining momentum in her Bible studies. As her love for the Lord grew, she made a firm decision to be baptized into Christ on December 30, 2018.
While at her baptism, in tears of joy, completely amazed at our daughter’s deep convictions from the word of God, it was revealed to us that the prayer of seeing a member of our community was being realized. God made it sweet for us. Not only did we see a member of our community come to him, we saw a member of our household, our precious daughter. It is a joy to have another Christian in our home to grow with. God is truly amazing, and we give him all the glory. Let us never give up praying for the next generation.
