Disciples from all over the SPA region came to Sydney, Australia for a weekend of EVEN GREATER THINGS . Guest speakers Harliem and Vania Salim from Indonesia called us to understand the significance of Jesus’ statement in John 14.12, “whoever believes in me will do the works I have been doing, and they will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father.” With over 700 in attendance, it was filled with even greater singing, even greater inspiration, and even greater fellowship. Throughout the conference, a lot was accomplished: classes with teaching for various life stages; teens dancing at the teen formal; athletes competing in a basketball tournament; the SPA Missions School graduating more students ready for the mission field; performances showcasing the diverse cultures; and a new church planting announced for Wellington, New Zealand in 2020. Overall, the Spirit increased our willingness to witness God do greater things in our region. The conference concluded Sunday morning with over 900 attending to worship God. The call given to the region: take what we’ve been given and make it multiply. We’ve seen God do great things in the SPA region over the past few years. Now, equipped with a deeper understanding of Jesus’ teaching, we’re ready to see even greater things take place in the future.
