HOPE worldwide Bolivia and the Disciples of Christ in La Paz have bridged the needs of those in Bolivia through love and real care of the people. One of the stories that exemplify this love is the story of Peter. Peter was a single father suffering from cancer. HOPE worldwide led an initiative that assisted with his cancer treatments. Peter was so impacted by the love shown to him and his family by the disciples that volunteered through HOPE worldwide that he made the decision to study the Bible and get baptized. Peter’s story shows the power of HOPE working together with the church to bring people to the Gospel of Jesus Christ resulting in salvation. A few days before Peter passed away, he was able to spend a time of encouragement with the brothers and sisters reflecting on God’s glory.
