The Toledo Church seeks either a lead ministry couple or a single lead minister with some experience building and strengthening family groups or other ministries within the church.
The Toledo Church has a history of an active and engaged fellowship and is looking to continue to nurture and build the Kingdom in Toledo. The ideal candidate(s) would be mission-minded with a passion for God, have a deep love for His people, and possess solid convictions rooted in the Word. The lead couple would provide direction for the church as a whole but also focus on specific ministries such as men’s, women’s, and children’s.
The Toledo Church currently has nearly 40 loving and faithful disciples amongst family groups, the YoPro Ministry, and the Prime-Time Ministry. The church is part of the ACR family of churches and works closely with the nine other churches in the Ohio Valley Region.
The Toledo metropolitan area is home to over 600,000 people who need Jesus. The city was founded on the banks of the Maumee River. The downtown area has been revitalized over the past 10 years and continues to grow. Toledo is a very affordable place to live with a small-town feel yet offering many big city activities to be explored; everything from sporting events to museums and zoos, a great Metroparks system, and many other adventures to be found. There is a mix of different ethnicities and cultures that are reflected throughout the art, music, and dining in the city.
The Toledo area has two major universities with an opportunity to ignite a vibrant campus ministry once again. The University of Toledo (UT) and Bowling Green State University (BGSU), which together consist of nearly 35,000 students. UT is known for its Pharmacy and Engineering programs, along with having a College of Law and a College of Medicine. BGSU is most known for its Teaching and Education Programs, including Early Childhood Special Education. Both the Toledo Rockets and the Bowling Green Falcons compete athletically in the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA), Division I, as members of the Mid-American Conference (MAC).
We are now welcoming applications for this exciting opportunity through October 31, 2024, with interviews to follow. To inquire further about this opportunity please email [email protected] and to apply include a cover letter, resume, and letter of recommendation from a current church leader.
