The wave of heated debate on racism in America has been reaching new heights recently. As someone who has lived on four different continents, and as someone of mixed race, I can assure you that racism is not only an American problem. In essence, it’s a sin problem, a spiritual problem.
This means that instead of shying away from talking about it, God’s church should address it head on, and keep it front and center as we do with all other soul-killing sins that plague our communities. In Austin Christian, we have chosen to have direct and open discussion about it. It has been a liberating experience for many and enlightening for others.
