Just seven weeks ago we launched what we call “RevivEE,” a new mission field adventure to help rejuvenate our churches in Eastern Europe and inspire those all over the world! Here is a brief update from our team made up of 20 campus, singles, and empty nester disciples from the United States, Russia and the Ukraine.
After months of weekly Zoom calls and rearranging our plans due to COVID-19, we were able to start our trip with three weeks in the beautiful city of Istanbul, forging unity and a great chemistry together. We have been able to have daily prayer, training devotionals, worship, and evangelism. Then from there we went to Odessa, Ukraine, to help invigorate and encourage the church.
We have been able to live out our faith in a practical yet simple way as we have been looking for those who are seeking the Lord in this beautiful Ukrainian city. We have been able to plug into the amazing church here quickly as we have connected with the teens, campus, young professionals and the marrieds ministries. The Lord has blessed the church with three teen baptisms here since our arrival in the last 14 days! There are currently over 170 people who have expressed interest in coming to church or studying the Bible and there are 48 Bible studies going on.
Everyday we are able to see God moving as we recount all the different ways from the previous day of how God has built our faith. The team has managed to stay healthy thanks to many prayers and we are looking forward to seeing more miracles to come as we strive to revive the heart of God’s people here in Eastern Europe.
