George Gebran is a Lebanese-American who, in 1996, made the faithful decision to move to Lebanon and join the mission team for our church planted there a couple of years prior. During his time in Lebanon, George was instrumental in studying the Bible with many, including our current pastor, Moufid Tohme.
In 2001, George moved back to the United States. He eventually married Rose, a Lebanese-American woman, and together they have two children, George and Gisele.

This past July, 24 years later, George returned to Lebanon with his family for a vacation. He visited the church he helped plant, and it was incredibly inspiring for him to see how it had grown from a small group of 12 people to a congregation of around 200, worshipping in their own church building. What touched his heart the most was seeing his children enjoy the fellowship and be deeply moved by the faith of the disciples.
A beautiful moment took place when his daughter Gisel connected with Abigail, the daughter of Pastor Moufid.
Gisel expressed her desire to study the Bible and become a disciple before returning to the U.S. During her stay in Lebanon, she studied daily with Abigail and our youth women’s leader, Lara. Moved by the love of God and the power of the Scriptures, Gisel made the decision to get baptized in the Mediterranean Sea, a true miracle and a testimony of God’s perfect timing.

We wanted to share this story to inspire our brothers and sisters: the seeds you plant today may not bear fruit immediately, but in time, with others watering and God giving the growth, miracles will happen.
