We are excited to announce that it’s official! On January 1, 2019, the church that meets at 2720 SW 2nd Avenue in Gainesville, Florida – The Campus Church of Christ, once known as the Crossroads Church of Christ, merged as one congregation with the Gainesville Christian Church, a fellowship of the International Churches of Christ! And on February 3, their new name was revealed: CampusView Church!
If you have ever been a part of the 14th Street Church of Christ, the Crossroads Church of Christ, the Campus Church of Christ, or the Gainesville Christian Church, we are inviting you to join us for our official inaugural weekend from Friday, October 11 through Sunday, October 13, 2019. We’re calling it “The Homecoming” and would love for those whose lives were impacted by the many great things that have happened here in Gainesville through the years to come home and celebrate this merger with us!
We are planning a full weekend of fun, fellowship, and opportunities for old friends to reconnect with one another after all these years. A true homecoming! And even if you had never worshiped here but are just encouraged by this historic event, we’d love to have you join us as well!
Brothers and sisters around the world have been praying for this for many, many years. What is happening here is significant to our family of churches…all of our churches. For God to bring together, under one roof, a Church of Christ fellowship and an International Church of Christ fellowship is an incredible step in the right direction when it comes to the unity of God’s people. There is no doubt in our hearts and in our minds that we are so much better together in reaching this world than we are apart…and it is incredible for this to be happening where it all began for many of us!
So put the date on your calendar and start making plans for the weekend of October 11-13 to travel to Gainesville, Florida to celebrate with us!

- Friday, October 11 – Meet, Greet and Reconnect at the building. We will have refreshments, slide shows, and a lot of time to fellowship and remember!
- Saturday, October 12 – Morning Singing Devotional led by Sherwin Mackintosh. Followed by Family & Friends Fun Day BBQ & Gator Football Viewing (Florida vs. LSU)
- Sunday, October 13 – Worship Celebration
