Here at Broward Christian Academy, we love Jesus and want our students to know and love him, too! Position summary:

We are seeking a qualified and passionate Elementary Teacher who loves the Lord and feels called to teach young children. The ideal candidate will integrate a biblical worldview into daily instruction, create a supportive and engaging classroom environment, and partner with families in the spiritual and academic development of each student.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide age-appropriate instruction in core subjects such as math, reading, science, and social Studies.
  • Integrate biblical truths and Christian values into daily teaching.
  • Create and maintain a safe, organized, and Christ-honoring classroom environment.
  • Develop lesson plans that align with school curriculum and Florida State Standards.
  • Foster spiritual growth by modeling Christ-like behavior, leading prayer, and incorporating Bible curriculum.
  • Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress and behavior.
  • Collaborate with fellow teachers and school leadership in staff meetings, devotions, and professional development.
  • Participate in school events, chapels, and community activities as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field (required).
  • State teaching certification or ability to obtain certification (preferred).
  • Prior teaching experience in elementary education (preferred).
  • Strong understanding of child development and classroom management techniques.
  • A personal relationship with Jesus Christ and a lifestyle that reflects Christian values.
  • Agreement with and support for the school’s Statement of Faith.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.
