Self Awareness and Its Influence on Taking Care of Oneself with Sajjan Sharma

Friday, September 30th, 6:00 PM – 7:30 PM Pacific Time

Burnout is a common condition in nearly all professions, but it doesn’t have to be inevitable. This keynote will help high-functioning individuals to understand personal insight and self-awareness. Rather than numbing ourselves and our own needs, we will learn how to tune into our minds, our bodies, and our hearts, take stock of our own mental wellness and recognize potential warning signs. Because if we get to that point earlier, there will be a significant amelioration of the burnout that is so prevalent in people that help other people.

Self Care: Building A Life You Do Not Have to Escape From with Dr. Kareema Gray, PhD

Saturday, October 1st 8:00 AM – 9:00 AM Pacific Time

Too often we approach self-care as individual events that we participate in to escape from anxiety, stress or emotional overloads that are occurring in our lives. This class will explore how we can incorporate self-care practices beyond sporadic rituals and indulgences to create a lifestyle that reflects more of a process of healthy functioning, not just an event.

Inspiring the Next Generation: Meditation for Counselors and Youth with Dr. Ryan Erbe, PhD

Saturday, October 1st 3:30 PM – 4:45 PM Pacific Time

Meditation is a spiritual discipline and self-care practice that has proven benefits for people of all ages. With this in mind, this class will equip counselors with strategies for incorporating meditation into their own lives along with reasons the practice is especially beneficial for youth and how to help them meditate on their own.
