On April 29, 2025 after approximately 1000 hours of part-time and volunteer technical development work, DT Heart & Soul moved to a completely new UI framework. Although most of the changes are “under the hood,” some will be immediately apparent to members. We’re celebrating with a promo code for a free month!
In geek-speak: DT Heart & Soul is now a web app implemented as a state-of-the-art Flutter framework, running on Kubernetes, an enterprise-level container orchestration system. The interface to our secure Stripe merchant gateway has been completely overhauled and simplified, and our realtime Firebase cloud functions are upgraded to the next generation.
In plain terms: You can now search for singles by “same country.” You can now cancel auto-renew subscriptions from the app. The subscription renewal process is easier. If your church and leader is not listed, you can more easily add them provisionally and use the service while the church/leader confirmation workflow happens.
Thanks to the new technology, we look forward to being able to bug fix and improve DTHS much more quickly. Already, in the first month post-rollout, we have released nearly 30 changes!

The first month of membership is free for everyone. For members who want to renew: When your subscription expires, use this dthsnextsteps25 promo code for a free month. This code is valid until July 19th. (If you have an autorenewing subscription and want to use this code, just cancel your autorenewal and use the code when your subscription runs out.)
What about the old website, and the iOS and Android mobile apps?
Going forward, https://app.dtheartandsoul.com is the one location for accessing DT Heart & Soul. The legacy site is still online, but will be turned off later this year once the remaining subscriptions have expired. The iOS and Android mobile apps, which were built with older UI technology and problematic to maintain for many reasons, have been taken off the app store.

You should see changes in these areas in the near future: We are working on bringing the documentation fully up-to-date with the changes. Also, notifications will get better.
