In the midst of hunger, poverty, displacement, and hardship, God continues to write new stories of hope.
“But the Word of God is not chained.” – 2 Timothy 2:9 (NIV).
We witnessed a beautiful testimony at the Church of Christ Refugee Church in Wadweil, South Sudan, where 14 new believers publicly declared Jesus Christ as their Lord and Saviour through baptism.
Although many of these brothers and sisters lack food, medicine, and adequate clothing, they have found the greatest treasure of all — new life in Christ. Their circumstances are difficult, yet their faith is stronger than fear, and their hope in Jesus is greater than their suffering.
These photos are more than memories of a baptism service. They are a living testimony that God’s kingdom is advancing even in the midst of a refugee community. The gospel continues to transform lives, bringing peace, purpose, and eternal hope where the world often sees only despair.
Please continue to pray for our brothers and sisters in South Sudan. Pray that God will strengthen their faith, provide food, medical care, and clothing, protect his church, and use their testimony to draw many more people to Christ.
