Between August 2018 and August 2019, a total of 15 brothers were appointed teachers across the five geographic blocs that make up the ICOC Africa Missions.
Over the first months that followed their appointments, these brothers, motivated by friendship, love and mutual respect, saw the need for synergy to strengthen not just individual nations or blocs, but to form cooperation and a spiritual safety net for the entire continent. It was this laudable vision that led to the formation of the Africa Teachers Group (ATG) and the Africa Teachers Service Team (ATST) in the first quarter of 2020.
In just one year of this group’s formation, several joint projects were initiated; one of which is the collation and production of an Africa Teachers Diary. This diary contains over 70 pages of information about these teachers and their teaching activities over the course of 2020. We hope for this project to be an annual report of what God is doing in the lives and ministries of these brothers.
In the next coming weeks, we hope to publish both French and Portuguese versions of the Africa Teachers Diary. This will help bridge the language gap and reach the continent’s 29 Francophone & six Portuguese-speaking countries.
