The Women’s Service Team (WST) is a truly global committee with the mission to inspire and train servant leaders around the globe to connect and grow spiritually, and to advance the gospel of Jesus. Our core group of 13 women meet bi-monthly on Zoom to update each other on the progress of the six subcommittees we form with many additional sisters.

In March 2024, we hosted an international women’s leadership luncheon in Pasadena, California. Among the attendees were the Regional Family Chairwomen, some Teacher’s Service Team members, some members of RevivEE, wives of elders, and several of the Los Angeles Church staff team. We prayed in Arabic and English, we heard miracle stories from around the globe, we had enriching conversations while we ate and lastly, we reported on the work of the Women’s Service Team for the benefit of all.

Our International Women’s Day subcommittee provides the sisterhood with an annual theme. For 2024 it was “Together We Thrive,” based on Ephesians 4:16, “From him the whole body, joined and held together by every supporting ligament, grows and builds itself up in love, as each part does its work.” An accompanying Quiet Time series is on our website as well as photos from the various IWD events.
The theme of the 2024 Prayer Task Force was “Women in Prayer, Women of Power” – praying for our family of churches. We held three international prayer calls connecting over 800 sisters from around the world with all continents represented! The team collected the needs of most regions in our family of churches and prayed through these during and out of the specified calls. On one of the Zoom calls, we had 70 sisters log in altogether from one of our churches in Ghana. See above for a highlight video from one of the English and Spanish calls.

Every year the Webinar subcommittee hosts amazing events. This year was no exception. The webinar topic was “Leading by Faith & Righteousness.” The keynote speaker was Jesse Tohme, from Lebanon, who delivered a compelling Bible lesson and personal sharing, “From Grave to Life” about surviving and thriving in extremely difficult circumstances. After the lesson, panelists shared their faith journeys, they we had breakout session discussions and a prayer time. The combined attendance for the Eastern and Western hemisphere events was over 1000 people.

We are so proud and very grateful for the abundance of spiritual resources that the Website subcommittee consistently provides. The WomenToday.International site provides content like Bible studies, podcasts, devotionals, life coaching resources, life stage advice, etc. The website is in nine different languages, as well. If you host a spiritual podcast or have written a book in line with scripture, or would like to help translate in a tenth language, please reach out to the WTI team here.

In 2024, the Crucial Conversations subcommittee surveyed several female leaders & members from around the globe regarding needs and topics of interest. The Elder’s Service Team and their wives were also consulted. We believe it is important to collaborate, support and promote the work of other women-led organizations. The Women’s Service Team highly recommends attending the upcoming Beloved & Dignified online event this March 28-29th, 2025. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out: [email protected].
