In Romans 15:5-6 it says, May the God who gives endurance and encouragement give you the same attitude of mind toward each other that Christ Jesus had, so that with one mind and one voice you may glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.”

After some discussion with women around the world, the International Women’s Day task force of the Women’s Service Team decided One Voice One Purpose, based out of Romans 15, will be a great theme for our 2025 International Women’s Day. Each year we take time to honor women, coming together under a unifying theme to celebrate and discuss how we can grow closer to God and one another. This year’s theme provides many avenues to teach upon, such as being joyful in hope (Romans 15:3) and being accepted, chosen, and valuable in God’s sight (Romans 15:7). With one voice and one purpose, we are all connected to God and to one another.

This year we will have a few resources available to our churches to spread the word about International Women’s Day and to celebrate together. First, the amazing graphic was designed by Ashley Conway of Salt Lake City, Utah, for our churches to use when planning events for next year’s IWD. A series of quiet times will also be published on WomenToday.international in the new year, written by some of our sisters in India. Lastly, the team will be posting a handful of social media posts to share on your church’a social media platforms if interested. We are so glad we could include women from all over the world in the planning of our 2025 IWD theme and resources. We look forward to celebrating together and seeing all of the amazing plans your churches make for International Women’s Day.
