The Lexington Church in Lexington, KY seeks a female campus intern to serve at the University of Kentucky. We are a small church (40 disciples) and we are re-launching our campus ministry with a handful of campus disciples. The University of Kentucky has had a flourishing campus ministry in the recent past, with many of the disciples going on to serve in churches in various and amazing ways.
The University of Kentucky is the flagship campus in Kentucky and reaches nearly 23,000 students each year. We are expecting the largest class of incoming freshmen in the fall of 2024, and we need workers in the harvest field for this unique and exciting opportunity!
We are seeking a sister who has a heart for university students, a growing walk with God, and a desire to be trained in the ministry. We are looking for a sister who has some experience in campus ministry (even if only as a student) and who will work in tandem with our campus minister. The internship is a 12-month paid internship (specifics to be discussed upon interview). If you have a heart to serve, learn, grow, and work on campus this might be the perfect opportunity for you.
We have a great leadership team in Lexington and the intern will be able to learn from leaders in Lexington, the Ohio Valley Region (OH, KY, WV), and the American Commonwealth Region (VA, MD, PA), of leaders and campus leaders. The church will also pay for travel to ICMC, ACR Conference, retreats, and other spiritual development opportunities during the internship.
