I am a New Jersey born and raised singer-songwriter who moved to Los Angeles three years ago to follow the dreams God placed on my heart. Today, I am a worship leader at Turning Point LA, an entrepreneur, a community builder, and a speech and language assistive therapist.
In Los Angeles, God inspired me to start “A Few More Friends,” a company built to create a sincere community for independent artists to be supported on and off stage. Earlier this month, Jennifer Hudson, an American singer, actress and talk show host, recognized the impact my company is having on the community and invited me as a guest on her show! Watch the clip below:
Being on the show was surreal in the best way. Jennifer was so warm and genuine, and getting to share A Few More Friends with her reminded me that God still cares, he still sees and he still hears me.
I believe disciples are called to love people like Jesus, not just tell people about him. People need to experience his love, too. And if you don’t see enough spaces where you can reach people who need Jesus, create one. That’s the heart behind A Few More Friends: creating a space where people feel valued, find real community, and have meaningful opportunities to experience the love of Jesus, whether they know him yet or not.
I’m so thankful for how God has guided my journey from New Jersey to Los Angeles, for my parents, who trained me in the way I should go, and my friends and family back home who’ve walked with me in my faith. I’m also grateful for Turning Point ministry in LA, which reshaped how I see God, helped me sing again, and gave me community again. That’s the kind of home I hope A Few More Friends can be. My dad always said, “People don’t care how much you know until they know how much you care.” We hope people experience the love of Jesus here first and become curious about what makes this space different.
