The Minister’s Wellness Committee is pleased to invite you to our upcoming webinar on Thursday, October 15th at 8AM PT, 10AM CT, 11AM ET (90-minute webinar) entitled: “The Prodigal Father: Nurturing Emotional and Spiritual Connection with Our Children at Every Stage of Life in Ministry.”

For those in the ministry, moms and dads and those supporting moms and dads, this class invites you to see the familiar story of Luke 15 through a different lens—not primarily through the experiences of the prodigal children, but through the heart of the Prodigal Father. Drawing on the insights of Henri Nouwen (The Return of the Prodigal Son, 1992), and Timothy Keller (The Prodigal God, 2008), we will explore the radically compassionate, grace-filled posture of our Father in heaven who moves toward his children, welcomes them home, and remains deeply connected to them across their journeys whatever encountered. Together, we will consider what his example can teach us about nurturing emotional and spiritual connection with our own children at every stage of life.

Our webinar will include a presentation from Matina Montes and a Q&R with a panel of ministry parents.

Matina Montes is a congregational teacher, shepherd, and passionate advocate for the spiritual and relational health of families. Serving alongside her husband, Mike, in the Chicago Church of Christ, she brings a deeply personal concern for the unique pressures the ministry places on parents and their children.
