The Global Missions Service Team, made up of representatives from each missions society, chose May as our annual Month of Missions themed “Eyes That See.” Each day in May, we will feature a story from a different part of the world on the All Nations App, giving our churches a unique opportunity to see what God is doing around the world.
One of the greatest blessings of the ICOC family is our global spread, but we have a long way to go in our Christ-given mission of bringing the gospel to the ends of the earth. We need to increase our awareness of how the Spirit is moving, and the work still to be done.
Furthermore, our global spread does not need to mean separation. We are members of the body of Christ. “If one part suffers, every part suffers with it; if one part is honored, every part rejoices with it” – 1 Corinthians 12:26. We must make it a priority to know about the struggles and victories of our brothers and sisters, and to develop “Eyes That See.”
Last year’s Month of Missions was a huge success. We encouraged everyone to plead with God in prayer; plant a daily seed of the gospel; and give towards the need of their missions society. Many participants reported their perspective being broadened and their faith being refreshed as they heard stories of perseverance, sacrifice and triumph. On the impact of the videos, someone shared, “They have been inspiring and connecting and have moved our hearts towards international missions like they haven’t been in years.”
Our addition this year is that we are featuring a specific need for each missions society that any who are able can contribute to. Our brothers and sisters in Acts 2 set a challenging example, even going to the lengths of selling personal possessions “to give to anyone who had need.” We will have an opportunity to imitate their generosity as we support the needs of our brothers and sisters and the building of the Kingdom all over the globe.
We hope you will join us for this year’s Month of Missions in May 2025. We are strongest together, and incomplete without you. Please download the All Nations App to join us on this adventure.
