More than 1,600 people from across North America and beyond gathered in Baltimore, September 3–6, for NASCON26, the North American Singles Conference. Hosted at the Baltimore Convention Center, the weekend brought together worship, biblical teaching, meaningful conversations, and plenty of opportunities to enjoy being together.
Under the theme “Divine Design: Created for Purpose,” NASCON26 centered on a conviction rooted in Ephesians 2:10: we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ to do good works. For single Christians in every season of life, it was an invitation to see purpose as something to live out now, not something waiting on a change in relationship status.
Worship and a shared sense of purpose
Thursday’s opening worship concert and welcome mixer set the stage for a weekend focused on God and community. The gathering made room for both reconnecting with familiar faces and meeting people from other churches and regions.
Friday’s main sessions explored what it means to be “Created for Purpose” and “Created for Community.” Alongside worship and biblical teaching, the program included a leadership class that pointed participants toward serving and strengthening the communities around them.
Throughout the weekend, the emphasis extended beyond attending a conference: How do we carry our faith into our relationships, our work, our churches, and our everyday choices?
Conversations for real life
Saturday offered opportunities to explore those questions more deeply. Following the “Created in his Image” men’s and women’s sessions, participants could choose keynote classes addressing relationships, intimacy, covenant with God, unity, mission, mentorship, and using their gifts.
The afternoon’s Designed Conversations created space for topics that matter deeply in the lives of singles. Sessions addressed grief, healing, navigating divorce, emotional intelligence, mature singlehood, and building healthy singles ministries. Others explored service, overseas missions, and integrating faith with professional life.
Together, these sessions reflected the breadth of the singles community. There is no single story of singlehood, and the weekend’s program made room for different experiences, questions, and ways to contribute.
Baltimore, baseball; denim and diamonds
There was also time to enjoy Baltimore and one another.
Attendees headed to Camden Yards for an Orioles game, while Saturday evening’s Denim & Diamonds dance offered another way to celebrate together. Karaoke, games, and Friday-night connection activities provided additional opportunities to meet people beyond the main sessions. A quiet, sensory-friendly room offered an alternative for those who preferred a calmer setting.
These moments were part of the conference experience, too: time to share a laugh, begin a conversation, and build connections across church and geographic lines.
Carrying the weekend home
Sunday’s closing worship brought conference attendees together with Maryland churches around the theme “Created as his Masterpiece.” The service included RevivEE stories and a closing call to carry the weekend’s focus on purpose into daily life.
