Robert Carrillo, CEO of HOPE worldwide was the keynote speaker of our first Central American HOPE worldwide Leadership Retreat hosted by our sister church in El Salvador on the last weekend of August.
During his visit, Robert shared great news about his recent trips to China, Europe, and the Middle East, and also delivered three insightful presentations to teach our regional chapter leaders about the core values of the organization, the importance of building a good board of directors, and of the right profile that should be met by a person who wants to serve in the role of the local chapter leader. All the classes ended with great Q&A sessions.
All the leaders of the Central American chapters had the opportunity to share their good news and also gave presentations about the different programs they are currently working on in their respective countries.
Robert also encouraged and inspired our ICOC congregation in San Salvador with the delivery of a very powerful sermon titled “We Are Hope” during the Sunday service. He encouraged our Central American disciples to think of Hope worldwide as “the heart” of the church, where we get to bring God’s love to our communities.
