The Teleios Society is proud to announce that registration is now open for its 2024 conference, taking place February 22-24, 2024, at the Oblate School of Theology in San Antonio, TX. This year, the theme is “Spirituality and Scripture: An Interdisciplinary Conversation.”

Scripture and spirituality have been appropriately called the two lungs that bring life to a Christian. The Word of God is meant to breathe life into us. How we engage it and allow it to transform us orients our worldview, relationships, and sense of meaning in the world.

The 2024 Teleios Conference will explore the critical symbiotic relationship between the Word of God and the way we live and orient our lives in response to it. In a world that often treats the text as something to be studied, it is easy to read but not hear or read but not see what God intends for his people. Join us as we explore the spiritual reading of the text in ways that are meant to bring hope and God’s presence into our lives.

We are blessed to have a wide variety of Christian traditions represented by our speakers from across the Stone-Campbell heritage and beyond. As we are partnering with the Institute for the Study of Contemporary Spirituality at the Oblate School of Theology, we are also blessed to have four scripture and spirituality scholars present to us from our hosting institution in San Antonio.

Our confirmed speakers include:

Dr. Gary Selby, Milligan University
Fr. Ron Rolheiser, Oblate School of Theology
Dr. Holly Carey, Point University
Dr. Andy Boakye, University of Manchester
