The Antelope Valley Church (AV Reach) is seeking an associate ministry couple for immediate employment. The Antelope Valley is located 60 miles northwest of downtown Los Angeles. We are a church of approximately 250 members with our own building. We are a growing congregation that is thriving in faith, family, and community service. The Antelope Valley is known for its thriving aerospace industry. We are in-range of all-things Southern California has to offer (beaches, sports teams, mountains, and the like!).

The associate ministry couple will likely oversee the campus and young marrieds ministries in the congregation. The associate ministry couple will assist our lead evangelist/women’s ministry leaders in organizing and facilitating ministry events: Bible studies, retreats, service projects, and outreach programs. The ideal couple we are looking for is in their mid-twenties to early thirties in age with at least a few years of ministry experience.  The associate minister will also be sharing preaching responsibilities. (We are currently only accepting applications from US residents, please.)

Key responsibilities:

  • Assist with planning and executing weekly ministry events and Bible studies
  • Help organize and coordinate special campus events, retreats, and service opportunities
  • Provide spiritual support to students through mentorship and relationship-building
  • Collaborate with ministry leaders to develop programs that foster community and spiritual growth
  • Assist in communication efforts (e.g. social media, email newsletters) to keep the campus community informed and engaged
  • Participate in weekly team meetings, prayer sessions, and training opportunities.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degrees preferred. May be in-progress.
  • Active faith in Christ and a desire to serve the campus community
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Prior experience in ministry, leadership, or event planning is a plus, but not required.
