The planning team for the 2026 Church Building Teachers Conference invites teachers and aspiring teachers to submit proposals for breakout classes. This year’s event, The Teacher’s Spiritual Life, will take place from September 17-19 in Raleigh, North Carolina.
This conference is organized by a committee of teachers from across churches in the ICOC. It is a practically oriented conference to edify and encourage disciples who use their gifts to benefit the teaching ministry in the church.
Theme and submissions
The theme is The Teacher’s Spiritual Life, and each presentation will be allowed 40 minutes (about 5,000 written words), followed by 10 minutes of question and response. If you are interested in presenting a class at the conference, we invite you to submit an abstract of your paper/presentation. The abstract must be no more than 300 words and should succinctly explain your proposed topic. A committee from the conference planning committee will look through the abstract submissions and notify the teachers who are selected.
Potential topics
The organizers would like the bulk of the presentations at the conference to be focused on ways teachers can deepen their spiritual lives. However, since these are classes, feel free to submit other related topics of interest to the teaching ministry.
Submission guidelines
The deadline to submit abstracts is May 15. Decisions on the presentations will be made by May 30. Email your abstract and any questions you may have regarding the program to Joey Harris at [email protected].
We look forward to seeing you at the conference.
