That’s a wrap—the Chance of a Lifetime 15-month internship concluded its third season with a graduation event on Saturday, August 17th. The graduation included national dress from their “missionary journeys” to Nigeria and Mexico, with more than 100 in attendance including friends, family, and COAL alumni. There were shout-outs from Mexico City and Lagos, songs from around the world, and poetry!
Each season is so unique. “Season 3” was the most musical group we have ever had. Their impact at Hope for Kids, in Boston and internationally was truly outstanding! I feel so blessed to have been with them through this adventure and I can’t wait to see where God will take them next.

In 2022, the Beam Missions Foundation launched the Chance of a Lifetime (COAL) program for 10-15 individuals to spend 15 months changing lives, growing personally and seeing dynamic ministries around the world. COAL functions in a “season” structure similar to years in college. So while Season 3 celebrated the end of their internship, the team of Season 4 were the “servers” throughout the evening as they kick off the second phase of their training.
Through our faithful network, the fourth season of COAL became one of our most diverse classes yet, seeing interns come in from Canada, Mexico, Germany, India, and the United States.
