Position Summary: This Ministry Leader role is responsible for co-leading / co-directing and developing the teen ministry for the church in conjunction with the Teen Girls (Edge) and Middle School Girls (Gravity) Student Ministry Leader.
The Student Ministry Leader (SML) positions include leadership roles for both the boys and girls in the designated age group. It is the expectation that both leaders work in mutual submission to each other, sharing the workload and responsibilities, and partner for the overall good of the ministry and its members. No one SML is “over” the other, with decision-making being a collective and collaborative process. Both SMLs have a direct reporting relationship to the evangelist and all ministry staff remain under the spiritual leadership of the Cornerstone Elders.
Duluth, GA is located in Gwinnett County, a suburban area northeast of the city of Atlanta. We are close to Lake Lanier, the Gwinnett Stripers (minor league baseball team), Mall of Georgia, Georgia Gwinnett College, and Gwinnett Tech. We are within a half hour of the city of Atlanta and all its major sports teams and universities. We are also within two hours of Camp Swamp (www.campswamp.com), where teens from our sister churches around the Southeast US attend summer camp, retreats and the like on a regular basis.
