As 2024 came to a close, our CampusView church family began to pray bold prayers, asking God to move powerfully through his people and bring glory to his name. One of our deepest desires for 2025 was something we called “Reconnect!” – a prayer that God would draw back those who had drifted away, reigniting faith and restoring hearts to him. It didn’t take long for God to answer.

In January, a young woman named Daniela walked through our doors with her husband Noah and their three young children. Daniela shared that she was just two years old when her parents helped plant the Gainesville church back in 1999. Over time, her parents drifted from both the church and each other, but the seeds of faith planted in Daniela’s heart as a little girl never stopped growing. She began to share her story with sisters in the church, and before long, she decided to study the Bible and was baptized. That moment was a beautiful story of God’s grace, but it was only the beginning.
Her mother Crystal, her father Claudio and his fiancée Nicole, came to witness this powerful moment. As Daniela’s family shared from the stage, tears filled the room. Her mom told everyone it was time for her to come back to God. Claudio, his voice trembling, said he hadn’t been to church in over 20 years and could barely get the words out as he spoke of how proud he was of his daughter. Just weeks later, Crystal was restored to Christ, as was Claudio, while Nicole was baptized.

But God wasn’t finished yet.
The transformation unfolding before Daniela’s husband, Noah, stirred something deep within him. He, too, decided to study the Bible, and only a few weeks later, he was baptized into Christ. His faith became contagious. Noah shared his story with his father Nevada, who began studying the Bible and at 60 years old, he made Jesus the Lord of his life.

And still, the ripple continued.
Daniela’s high school friend Andrew visited church, was moved by what he saw, and began studying the Bible. Before long, he too was baptized into Christ. Andrew then reached out to his father Scott, who at 57 years old made the same life-changing decision to follow Jesus and was baptized as well.
Now, several other family members are attending church and studying the Bible, drawn by the unmistakable movement of God.
What began as a simple prayer to “reconnect” has become a wave of renewal, restoration, and revival. So far this year, 29 people have been baptized or restored in Gainesville, and we can only stand in awe of what God is doing.
We are humbled, inspired, and deeply grateful to witness his hand at work, reminding us that no one is ever too far gone and that a single prayer can spark a chain reaction of faith that changes generations. God is reconnecting hearts – and his glory is shining brighter than ever in Gainesville.
