The Pioneer Valley Church is located in Chicopee, MA and is surrounded by 13 college campuses that total nearly 65,000 students. Our campus ministry of 17 students is represented on five of them. We’re a diverse church of 240 people spanning all life stages; we are a missional congregation that is active in serving our community, making disciples, and joining in what God’s up to in the world. We’re seeking to hire a full-time/part-time man and woman for the campus ministry who will work with the evangelist and leadership team to serve and further the campus ministry. This is an initial one-year position with the possibility of extension. Compensation commensurate with experience. Ideally we’d like to have this position filled by September 1. 

The ideal candidate(s) will possess the following characteristics: 

  • A relationship with God that illustrates commitment and growth in the way of Jesus
  • A posture of faith and vision for what God is doing on campus  
  • Place a high value on emotionally healthy discipleship
  • An example in relational and professional integrity 
  • A self-starter who is organized, and can show effectiveness in leading personal Bible studies and small groups. 
  • The ability to work collaboratively 
  • A desire to be trained
