We disciples who live in Salem see God’s tent pegs firmly in place here! We need a zealous person to connect with Salem’s future disciples. God’s vast works are evident in the beauty of Oregon and the abundance of recreational opportunities. We are a group of 10 disciples, with six baptized in the past two to three years. Salem has untapped colleges (Willamette, Corban, Chemeketa, Western Oregon) and is the state capitol for possible government employment. We are within an hour of larger congregations in Portland and Eugene, and two hours from Bend. Eugene oversees our church (Kelly and Cheryl Boyd) and will help provide training. My wife Kerry and I (Aaron Ford) have been disciples for 20+ years and will provide friendship, mentorship and practical direction. I have a master’s in Biblical study to assist you in your spiritual growth. We are seeking an intern who will:
- Be active in sharing their faith (10+ hours per week)
- Study the Bible with those who attend functions
- Coordinate events designed to attract college-age people
- Maintain a strong personal spiritual life
- Participate in speaking/sharing at worship services
- Enhance our web/social media presence
- Potentially mentor youth ministry
