Scatter What Matters offers a comprehensive three-year curriculum designed to meet the needs of the middle school ministry at your church. We publicly launched this project three years ago at the World Discipleship Summit in Orlando, Florida. The initial surge of registrations from churches around the world indicated that this was meeting a critical need for several ministry leaders who are oftentimes not full-time church staff.  Disciples Today helped us reach an even wider audience with an article shared in January 2023, which provided an overview for how the curriculum is designed to work.  Within a year we had topped an outreach of over 100 churches, which was highlighted in this follow-on article.

One of our first subscribers came from halfway around the world! The Central Christian Church in Singapore has an active preteen ministry led by Choon Lim and Peishi Koh, who shared the following with us about the impact that the curriculum has had on their youth:

The Scatter What Matters curriculum has been a game-changer for our ministry, transforming the way we connect with preteens. It has not only significantly shortened our preparation time but also ensured that every lesson is both purposeful and meaningful for these young souls. We are grateful for this invaluable resource, which is expertly designed with thought-provoking questions, engaging videos, and interactive activities to help them learn about who God is—specifically, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. By planting these eternal seeds of faith, we believe we are nurturing an enduring relationship with God that will blossom for years to come. We are also incorporating and editing these lessons to suit the teens as a continuation and consistency to what they have been learning about God.

Another one of our first subscribers came from the Cincinnati Church of Christ, whose young teen ministry is led by David and Michelle Hare. They have seen the curriculum help their ministry both inside and outside the classroom.

Over these last three years, we’ve watched our young teens grow in faith, confidence, and love for God. The program not only strengthens the kids but also brings parents and the church family closer together. As shepherds of the young teen ministry, we’re grateful for how God is using Scatter What Matters to build a lasting foundation for the next generation.

As we celebrate three years of service this month, we marvel at what God has done with our little bit of scattered seed to promote growth all over the world. We now have a total outreach of over 200 churches in 38 different countries. If you find yourself wondering what you’re going to teach in your middle school class this year and are looking for something tried and true, then consider leveraging the free content available at Scatter What Matters!

“I planted the seed, Apollos watered it, but God has been making it grow. So neither the one who plants nor the one who waters is anything, but only God, who makes things grow” – 1 Corinthians 3:6-7.
