“I will unify them to form a single nation. ” – Ezekiel 37:22

Derived from political, economic, and social problems, Chile has been the destination of many migrants in recent years. To show and bring God’s love to others, our church has adapted to the cultural and social diversity, desiring to become a single nation that glorifies God.

In July 2018, several disciples from the Gainesville church visited us as they joined the mission of taking the gospel to the universities of Santiago. During that campus initiative, Victor Hugo Velasco from Colombia was met and began to study the Bible. The spiritual journey for Victor was not easy. It took a lot of hard work, love, and prayer, but thanks to God a year later almost to the day, Victor was baptized into Christ and is now a great disciple in the campus ministry.

Peter Wood, a young Haitian campus student, was met through the generosity of a sister in the church who welcomed and helped his mother when she arrived from Haiti. God used different relationships and especially the disciples on campus to study the Bible and share their lives with Peter. He became our brother in Christ and is now involved in daily Bible studies with others.

They both heard the gospel in a language other than their own. Victor received an invitation in English and Peter began studying the Bible in Spanish, when he only spoke Creole. There is no doubt that God can communicate with us in any language. There are no barriers when he wants to change our lives.

Please keep Victor and Peter in your prayers.
